EAST COAST SUMMER GUIDE
BY: KATIE BLAIS
Hello! This week I have a special guest taking over the blog:) While I have not known Katie long, she has quickly become family (my lovely little in DG) and encourages me to express my creativity unapologetically. Today you get to spend a summer day with Katie in her home state Rhode Island. I hope you enjoy this virtual adventure and inspires you to craft one of your own. Follow @thelooksdsu and @remember.me.radio to see more of Katie’s passions come to life!
Hi HAGO fam! My name is Katie Blais and I am so excited to be writing an entry for Help A Girl Out! I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Olivia this past semester through DG spring recruitment and instantly knew that she was an incredibly special soul. Her immediate kindness made me feel so welcomed and we soon began to bond over our love of writing and all things creative, making this entry such a full circle moment! What makes this even more special is Olivia also happens to be my amazing big!
A little bit about me: I’m a rising Junior at SDSU studying Journalism with a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies! I am always in constant search for new creative outlets and hobbies, with my most recent being writing for The Look Magazine, starting a radio show, buying a pickleball set, and attempting to learn how to line dance. I love to be outside and am always down to go on a run or take a spontaneous camping trip!
As a Rhode Islander and East Coast girl at heart, I thought it would be fun to take HAGO’s loyal readers on a trip across the country, diving into the ultimate guide for a quintessential East Coast Summer in the country’s smallest state! I hope you all enjoy and feel inspired to unleash your inner coastal grandmas!
If this day in the life has piqued your interest, there’s so much more to explore in this fun-sized state! I had so much fun writing about the place I call home and I hope that wherever you are this summer, may it be filled with lots of fun, sun, and sweet treats!
Bye for now HAGO fam!
Love, Katie
